ISO Management Standards Certification & Solvyris Badge FAQ’s
What’s Included in the Solvyris Solvy-Simple Offerings?
Our Solvy-Simple offerings cover all your needs, starting with consultancy provided by Solvyris, and certification that is carried out by a third party accredited certification body. We cover everything required from A-to-Z, including the preparation of documents, training of teams, ongoing compliance all year-round, and coverage of the annual renewal.
What are the steps of the ISO certification service?
The service delivery for ISO certification has three steps :
– setting up your ISO management system;
– training your employees and managers;
– auditing your system for ISO certification;
Afterwards you’d be able to get the Solvyris Verification badge:
– surveying your clients to earn the Solvyris “Excellent Service” verification;
– and then you’re covered with the ongoing compliance support.
What makes the patented Solvy-Simple method unique?
Thanks to decades of experience, we have an appreciation of the application of ISO standards to processes and issues across different sectors. Our Solvy-Simple method will help your organisation save time, money, and resources, and get you the ISO certificates that are recognised internationally. Solvyris “Solvy-Simple Method for Certification & Compliance” is copyrighted at the American Library of Congress.
Our Solvy-Simple method exceeds just getting you ready for certification, creation and customisation of documents, and enabling you to successfully pass the certification audit. We actually enable your team members to add value to your operations, so that they are able to understand, apply and improve on your processes, according to the best practices offered by the standards. We transfer the know-how in an easy to grasp manner, and enable your compliance for years to come.
This method streamlines certification from beginning to end. It starts with the creation of a management system, which is essentially a written manual. This manual has a set of attached forms to document the application of the standard. Then comes the step of training teams to apply this system, by filling out the forms attached to the manual. Finally, an external certifying body would online audit the management system, i.e., review the manual and forms and the teams’ understanding.
Our approach exceeds just getting you ready for certification, creation and customisation of documents, and enabling you to successfuly pass the audit. We actually enable your team members to add value to your operations, so that they are able to understand, apply and improve on your workflow according to the best practices offered by the standards. We transfer the know-how in an easy to grasp manner, and enable your compliance for years to come. We don’t require any pre-requsites when it comes to the company, or that any of your members to be certified / have prior knowledge to ISO standards.
How are the ISO consultancy & certification services executed?
For each ISO standard, we’d create and customize a manual that covers your full scope of services and products. The manual would meet your actual operational situation.
If you opt for more than one standard, we’d integrate all the standards into one manual, to ease the application without doubling the work or effort. Management standards are “harmonised,” using the same headings, titles, and definitions, in order to be easily grouped into one “integrated management system.” Integration would make the whole process more time-effective, avoid any redundancy in effort, and cost less.
The manual would comprise of a set of instructions, that are tied to each of the standard requirements. It would be written in plain and simple English, and each section would have forms to fill out (to apply the standard and achieve compliance).
We’d deliver the customised manual based on your situation, and tailor-fit it based on your teams’ feedback, and during the training phase we’d show everyone how to apply it (transfer of know-how).
The service delivery meetings can be recorded (with your permission, and for your future use) as a training reference, so that they serve to support any new-comers tasked with applying the standards day-to-day.
Once we ensure that everyone knows what “good looks like” when it comes to day-to-day application of the ISO standards, we’d get you ready for the audit, and plan it together so everyone knows their role.
Your management team would attend and represent the company and its leadership during the final audit meeting, with the third-party certification body. We’d attend the audit meeting as well. After the audit meeting passes successfully, your entity would be awarded the ISO certificate(s).
More info on the duration of service delivery is available below.

ISO standards are suitable for private and public organisations of all sizes, from large multinational corporations and government organisations to charities as well as micro, small or medium sized businesses (even one-person startups can be certified). Of course! We’d be glad to help you maintain your ISO conformance and certification with ongoing support. We can function as your “outsourced” quality/management system department. We’d free up your resources, cut your costs, and save you time to focus on what you do best.
Here is how this works:
1) We can connect for approximately one hour per month via Zoom call, email, or a customised form. We would gather some general information about the updates at your company.

What’s the value of earning ISO accredited certificates?
Getting an accredited certificate has much value when it comes to credibility and recognition as a proven business credential. It helps demonstrate that your company has a robust system in place to ensure it meets the expectations of its customers.
In some cases, certification is a legal or contractual requirement and is required for tenders.
Independent third-party verification against a globally recognised standard speaks volumes about your business commitment to best-practices and thus increases its ability to win more business.
Certification bodies are entities accredited to issue ISO certificates after an audit. An issued accredited certificate is an attestation that your company meets specific requirements. Certification bodies are governed by Accreditation bodies, working with endorsement from ISO standards and Governments worldwide. Learn more about that in the accreditation section above.
Unaccredited certification risks failure to meet requirements, whether legal or regulatory. Also, their lack of integrity can damage reputation, and thus they are considered a waste of time, budget, and resources.

ISO Guidance Standards FAQ’s
What’s the difference between ISO management standards & ISO guidance standards?
ISO is a famous name for some standards known as “management systems standards”. ISO 9001:2015, the most renowned, is the Quality Management Systems standard with over 1,250,000 certificates issued in 2023. The total number of ISO management systems standards is very limited; there are around only 50 of them (view the complete list here).
It is lesser known that ISO has published 31,500+ standards! Over 99.9% of ISO published standards are called “guidance standards”. Guidance standards are best practice guidelines that can boost performance across many sectors. These standards cover almost everything under the sun; for example ISO 8601-1:2019 states how dates and times should be formatted. You can use official ISO search engine at this link to discover all of those standards.
What type of certification can be earned for each of the ISO standards type?
ISO management systems standards have published audit guidelines, stating how they should be audited and certified. Accrediting and certification bodies apply those audit standards. Therefore, ISO management systems standards (ex. ISO 9001:2015) can be certified via ISO certificates.
ISO certificates have a validity cycle of three years, and require an annual audit for renewal. These certificates expire at the end of the full cycle, thus requiring re-certification every three years.
On the other hand, ISO guidance standards don’t have published audit guidelines, and as such certification bodies can independently audit and certify compliance to them. ISO guidance standards can be certified via ISO Letter of Conformance / ISO Letter of Compliance.
ISO Letter of Conformance / ISO Letter of Compliance do not expire as long as the standard itself remains unchanged, it remains valid indefinitely and does not require annual audits.
ISO guidance standards gets reviewed each 5 years; the review might conclude that the standard is valid and requires no updates. On average, they are updated every 10 years.
What are the benefits of obtaining an ISO Letter of Conformance / Compliance?
Solvyris is one of the very few consultancy firms that assist entities in implementing ISO guideline standards, getting them externally audited by accredited certification bodies, and certified via an ISO Letter of Conformance / ISO Letter of Compliance.
Only less than 1% of entities in any sector seek enhancement via those best-practices ISO standards, and we give you a chance to be one of them, and gain the following benefits:
Enhance culture, image, and reputation: Reinforce a best practices culture among your employees as well as your clientele. Implementing ISO guidance standards helps reinforce a corporate image that prioritizes quality in all aspects of business.
Win more deals: When a certification body audits your operation to ensure it meets ISO best-practice standards and certifies it, it adds instant credibility to your business and instills confidence in prospective clients.
Improve services and products: Implementing ISO guidance standards improves your company’s ability to serve its clients. You will be better able to recognise risks and steer clear of problems.
Increase profitability: Improving your processes and the way you do things would result in lower expenses, higher outputs, and more effective use of available resources. This increases profitability.
Who is the issuer of the ISO Letter of Conformance / Compliance?
We only work with accredited certifying bodies, to issue your entity a Letter of Conformance / Compliance. This lends you the credibility of their status and their expertise as third-party impartial auditors.
